"You are an innovator"
Concerning the Muhaddith, the Shaykh - Hammaad ibn Muhammad al-Ansaaree (rahima-hullaah), it has been narrated by his son 'Abdul-Awwal that the Shaykh said:
"Whoever falls into an innovation, it is said to him:
“This action of yours is an innovation”.
And if he persists in this (innovation), then it is said to him:
“You are an innovator (mubtadi’)”."
