Knowledge Before Action

Umar ibn Abdul Azees (may Allah have mercy on him) used to say:

مَنْ عَمِلَ فِي غَيْرَ عِلْمٍ

Whoever acts without knowledge

كَانَ مَا يُفْسِدُ أَكْثَرُ مِمَّا يُصْلِحُ

Does more harm than good.
