Similarities Between Islam & Christianity

Similarities Between Islam & Christianity

All Prophets Prayed Doing Sajda.
(Sajda is the act of prostrating oneself to Almighty God by putting ones forehead on the floor – As we Muslims do five times a day).
PROOF:
[Genasis 17:3]
“…and Abraham fell on his face and prayed.”
[Numbers 20:6] “…and Moses and Aaron fell on their faces and prayed.”
[Joshua 5:14] “…and Joshua fell on his face and prayed.”
By now, you’re probably thinking “But Jesus never done it” so I show you…
[Matthew 26:39] “…and Jesus fell on his face and prayed.”
[Mark 14:35] “Going a little farther, he (jesus) fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him.”
Ands such has also been attested to in the Qur’aan:
[Soorah Maryam 19: 30-34] “He ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: Verily! I am a slave of Allah, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet; And He has made me blessed wheresoever I be, and has enjoined on me Salat (prayer), and Zakat, as long as I live. And dutiful to my mother, and made me not arrogant, unblest. “And Salam (peace) be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive!” Such is ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). (it is) a statement of truth, about which they doubt (or dispute).”
Also:
[Soorah Bayyinah 98:5] “And they (the Jews and Christians) were commanded not, but that they should worship Allah, and worship none but Him Alone (abstaining from ascribing partners to Him), and perform As-Salat(Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat: and that is the right religion.”
Jesus gives the Islamic greeting of “Assalaamu ‘alaykum”.
PROOF:
[Luke 24:36]
“Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Shalom alaikom (Peace be with you).”
All Praise is due to God Alone, for every bible in the bookshelf comes with the hebrew text aswell on this subject.
Jesus Was Circumcised.
PROOF:
[Luke 2:21]
“On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise him, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he had been conceived.”
Isaac, son of Abraham (Ishaaq Bin Ibraheem) Was Circumcised.
PROOF:
[Genasis 21:4]
“When his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him, as God commanded him.”
A Woman Should Wear A Hijab.
(The Hijab is a covering from the head worn to minimise the women’s beautiful attraction, hence lessening the chances of her being molested)
PROOF:
[1 Corinthians 11:5-7]
“But any woman who prays or prophesies with her head unveiled brings shame upon her head, for it is one and the same thing as if she had had her head shaved. For if a woman does not have her head veiled, she may as well have her hair cut off. But if it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should wear a veil.”
Lowering Your Gaze.
PROOF:
[Matthew 5:27-29]
Jesus says “You have heard that it was said to them of old: Thou shalt not commit adultery. But I say to you, that whosoever shall look on a woman to lust after her, hath already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
Don’t Wear Clothes Of The Oposite Sex.
PROOF:
[Deuteronomy 22:5]
“A woman shall not be clothed with man’s apparel, neither shall a man use woman’s apparel: for he that doth these things is abominable before God.”
No Drinking Of Alcohol!
PROOF:
[Proverbs 20:1]
“Wine is a luxurious thing, and drunkenness riotous: whosoever is delighted therewith, shall not be wise.”
[Ephesians 5:18] “be not drunk with wine, wherein is luxury.”
Don’t Eat Pigs.
PROOF:
[Deutronomy 14:8]
“The swine(pig) also, because it divideth the hoof, but cheweth not the cud, shall be unclean, their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch.”
Don’t Make Pictures Of God.
(Unfortunatelly they love making pics of god and putting them up on their huge noticeboards outside the church. Tsk-tsk!)

PROOF:
[Deutronomy 5:7-9]
“Thou shalt not have strange gods in my sight. Thou shalt not make to thy self a graven thing, nor the likeness of any things, that are in heaven above, or that are in the earth beneath, or that abide in the waters under the earth. Thou shalt not adore them, and thou shalt not serve them.”
If a Christian is someone who follows the teaching of Jesus Christ, then us Muslims would like to say that we are more Christians than the Christians themselves!

Supplicating for Your Brothers

Supplicating for Your Brothers

Imaam Ibn al-Jawzi, may Allaah have mercy on him, said,

“[The Companion] Abud-Dardaa used to supplicate for a group of his brothers every night.  And Imaam Ahmad ibn Hanbal said to [Imaam] Shaafi’i’s son, ‘Your father is one of six for whom I supplicate every night before daybreak.’”

Saidul-Khaatir, p. 46.

O you who wasted his strength without reserve!

O you who wasted his strength without reserve!

Al Imaam Ibn Qayyim al Jawziyyah said

O you who wasted his strength without reserve! And transgressed in his illness without a shield!  And who has no patience to repent! Do not deny the approach of destruction, for illness will cause corruption! If you were to follow the divine remedy so as to cure yourself, by having a shield from vain desires and lusts you would have found salvation! Unfortunately, lust blinded your insight, to the extent that you think salvation means to abandon the promise of Allaah in return for vain desires! What blind insight you have! It makes you impatient for one hour, then you bare disgrace forever! You travel seeking this worldly life despite its transient nature and you neglect to prepare for your journey to the hereafter despite its eternity!

If you find a man, who is buying something worthless in return for something precious, and is selling something priceless in return for something of no value, verily he is a fool”

We Need Salafy Schools or We Need to Leave!

Brother Abu Mu'aawiyyah shared these notes from today's tele-link:

Shaykh Abu Abdul'Alaa Khalid 'Uthmaan al-Misree (hafidhahullah) said,

"Protecting Our Children's Muslim Identity.... It is obligitory for Muslims upon the sunnah in the west to get together and form a school, or gather together in one location, to teach the Qur'aan and Sunnah and have our children intermingle with one another. The Shaykh said Imaam Malik has a statement that it is not permissible to send our children to the non-muslim to even learn reading and writing. This is because the non-muslims will exert all their efforts and energy to influence our children into their creed, beliefs and behaviour.

The Shaykh (hafidhahullah) said, "...If the Salafis find it difficult to establish their own schools, then it is upon them to hasten to make hijrah!"

From the one in need of Allah's mercy,

Wherever you see Fitnah: RUN!

Wherever you see Fitnah: RUN!

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

Allaah تعالى says:

وَلَا تُلْقُوا بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى التَّهْلُكَةِ

{…and do not throw yourselves into destruction} [Surah al-Baqarah (2): 195]

Yusuf عليه السلام fled from the Fitnah, when the wife of the `Azeez approached him:

وَاسْتَبَقَا الْبَابَ وَقَدَّتْ قَمِيصَهُ مِن دُبُرٍ

{So they raced with one another to the door, and she tore his shirt from the back}. [Surah Yusuf (12): 25]

Before his Prophethood, Moosaa عليه السلام fled from the evil:

فَفَرَرْتُ مِنكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ

{“So I fled from you when I feared you”} [Surah al-Shu`araa’ (26): 21]

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم instructed Hudhaifah bin al-Yamaan رضي الله عنه that during the times of Fitan. Hudhaifah said to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم: What do you order me to do if such a state should take place in my life? He صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

تَلْزَمُ جَمَاعَةَ المُسْلِمِينَ وَإِمَامَهُمْ

“Stick to the group of Muslims and their Imaam (ruler).” Hudhaifah said: If there is neither a group of Muslims nor an Imaam (ruler)?

"Then turn away from all those sects even if you were to bite (eat) the roots of a tree till death overtakes you while you are in that state.” [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (3606, 7084) and Saheeh Muslim (4553)]

Evil effects of Fitan:

Adopted from the Book “Athaar al-Fitan” by Shaikh `Abdul-Razzaaq bin `Abdul Muhsin al-Badr

1. Preoccupies the people and turns them away from `Ibaadah.

2. Turns them away from scholars and seeking knowledge.

3. The foolish take the lead.

4. Whoever exposes himself to Fitnah will perish.

5. Matters become doubtful as truth is mixed with falsehood.

6. Corruption of the youth.

7. Weakness in the bonds of religious brotherhood.

8. The audacity to murder and shed blood.

9. Security is disrupted.

10. Corrupt people get to spread their falsehood.

11. The enemies get an upper hand.

THE GREATNESS OF ALLAAH

THE GREATNESS OF ALLAAH

He is controlling the affairs of all the kingdoms. He commands and prohibits, creates and gives provision, and gives death and gives life. He raises and lowers people’s status, alternates night and day, gives days (good and not so good) to men by turns, and causes nations to rise and fall, so that one nation vanishes and another emerges.
His command and decree are carried out throughout the heavens and on earth, above it and below it, in the oceans and in the air. He has knowledge of all things and knows the number of all things. He hears all voices, and does not mistake one for another; He hears them all, in all the different languages and with all their varied requests and pleas.
No voice distracts Him from hearing another, He does not confuse theirrequests, and He never tires of hearing the pleas of those in need. He sees all that is visible, even the walk of a black ant across a solid rock in the darkest night. The unseen is visible to Him, and secrets are known to Him…
“Whosoever is in the heavens and on earth begs of Him [its needs from Him]. Every day He has a matter to bring forth [Sooratur-Rahmaan 55:29].
He forgives sins, eases worries, relieves distress, helps the defeated person back on his feet, makes the poor rich, guides the one who is astray and confused, fulfils the needs of the desperate, feeds the hungry, clothes the naked, conceals faults, and calms fears. He raises the status of some and lowers the status of others… Even if all the inhabitants of heaven and earth, the first and the last of them, mankind and jinn alike, were to be as pious as the most pious among them, this would not increase His sovereignty in the slightest.
If they all, the first and the last of them, mankind and jinn alike, were to be as rebellious as the most rebellious among them, this would not decrease His sovereignty in the slightest. If everything in heaven and on earth, the first and the last of them, mankind and jinn, living and dead, animate and inanimate, were to stand in one place and ask of Him, and He were to give them everything that they asked for, this would not decrease what He has by even an atom’s weight…
He is the First, before Whom there is nothing, and the Last, after Whom there is nothing, may He be blessed and exalted. He is the Most deserving of being remembered, the Most deserving of being worshipped, the Most deserving of being thanked.
He is the Most Compassionate of kings, the Most Generous of those who are asked… He is the King Who has no partner or associate, the One who has no rival, the Self-Sufficient Master, Who has no son, the Most High, and there is none like unto Him.
“Everything will perish save His face.” [Sooratul-Qasas 28:88]
And everything will vanish except His sovereignty… He will not be obeyed except by His permission, and He will not be disobeyed except with His knowledge. He is obeyed, so He shows His appreciation, and He is disobeyed, so he forgives. Every punishment on His part is justice, and every blessing from Him is a favour.
He is the closest of witnesses and the nearest of protectors. He seizes people by their forelocks, records their deeds and decrees the appointed time for all things. Hearts conceal nothing from Him, for secrets are known to Him. His gift is a word and His punishment is a word,
“Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing,is only that He says to it, “Be!” – and it is.”
[Soorah Yaaseen 36:82] [1]
