And if they desire children in Jannah!…

And if they desire children in Jannah!…

Upon the authority of Abu Sa’eed Al Khudri (Radhiyallaahu ‘Anhu) who said that the Messenger of Allah – (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) said: “If the believer desires a child in Jannah, then pregnancy, child birth and the child coming of age occurs in an hour (or in a short period) and the child is just as they desire!

The Keys to Paradise

The Keys to Paradise

By Shaykh Ibn Qayyim aj-Jawzeeyah -Rahimullaah-

Translated by Abbas Abu Yahya

Shamsuddeen Muhammad bin Abee Bakr Ibn Qayyim aj-Jawzeeyah (d.751) -Rahimullaah- said:

Bukhari mentions in his ‘Saheeh’ from Wahab bin Munnabih that it was said to him: ‘Is not ‘La ilaha ‘illa Allaah’ the key to Paradise?’

He said: ‘Of course, however there is no key except that it has teeth, so if a key is brought which has teeth then it will be opened, otherwise it will not open.’

Ibn Qayyim continues:

‘Allaah Subhanahu has placed keys for everything that is necessary, and they open the way, so Allaah made purification the key for prayer, as the Messenger -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- said: ‘The key to prayer is purification.’ [Saheeh al-Jamia as-Sagheer No.5885]

Like wise Ihram is the key to Hajj,

Truthfulness is the key to righteousness,

Tawheed is the key to Paradise,

Asking good questions and being attentive is the key to knowledge,

Patience is the key to victory and triumph,

Gratitude is the key to increase of provision,

Remembrance of Allaah is the key to having loyalty to Allaah and His love,

Taqwa (piety) is the key to success,

Fervent desire and dread of Allaah is the key to being successful,

Dua’ (Supplicating) is the key to being responded to,

Zuhd (Abstaining from the luxuries of the world) is the key to desiring the Hereafter,

Reflecting about that which Allaah calls His slaves to is the key to Eemaan (having faith),

Making the heart accept Islaam and making it secure for Allaah and having sincerity for Him by having love and hate and fulfilling His commands and leaving the prohibitions is the key to going in front of Allaah,

Pondering upon the Qur’aan, and imploring Allaah before dawn and not sinning is the key to giving the heart life,

Being kind to the worshippers of the Creator and striving to benefit His worshippers is the key to obtaining mercy,

Striving to seek forgiveness from Allaah and Taqwa (piety) is the key to Rizq (provisions),

Obedience to Allaah and His Messenger is the key to honour,

Longing for the Hereafter is the key to being prepared for the Hereafter,

Fervent desire for Allaah and the Hereafter is the key to all goodness,

Love for the world, continuously longing for it and turning away from the Hereafter is the key to all evil.

This is a great matter from the most beneficial chapters of knowledge, namely knowing the keys to goodness and evil.’

Explaining that people are tested in the grave

Explaining that people are tested in the grave

118 - Explaining that people are tested in the grave

Q: When a human being dies and is buried, will they be punished during the period between death and the Day of Resurrection if they are wrong-doers, or they will be punished for a period of time according to their evil deeds? We would be grateful if you could elaborate on this point, may Allah bless you! .
A: All praise be to Allah! The Sahih (authentic) Hadiths reported about Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) stress that when one is buried in their grave, two angels come to them and ask them about their lord, their Deen and their messenger. If they answer these questions firmly, Allah will open for them a gate to Paradise from which blessings and the fragrance of Paradise come to them. Also, a gate to Hellfire is opened for them to see the abode of Hellfire from which Allah has saved them and given them an abode in Paradise instead. As for disbelievers, they will experience the opposite as a gate to Hellfire is open for them from which torture, foul odors and a fierce hot wind of Hellfire come to them. A gate to Paradise is open for them to see their abode in Paradise which they would have been given if they had done good, but since they disbelieved in Allah, Allah will deprive them of an abode in Paradise. The literal meanings of the Sunnah and the Holy Qur'an stress that the righteous will enjoy blessings, whereas the disbelievers will experience punishment in the grave. However, it is not known how they will be punished and how long such punishment will continue!
(Part No. 4; Page No. 317)
The entire matter is referred to Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He). The same applies to the righteous and how they will enjoy pleasure in the grave. A believer has to do nothing but to believe in what is mentioned in the Prophetic Hadiths. As for the way the righteous enjoy blessings and the way the disbelievers experience punishment in the grave and whether such blessings or punishment will continue or not, the entire matter is referred to Allah (Exalted be He). Allah (Glorified be He) informs us regarding Fir`aun (Pharaoh) : The Fire, they are exposed to it, morning and afternoon. And on the Day when the Hour will be established (it will be said to the angels): "Cause Fir‘aun’s (Pharaoh) people to enter the severest torment!" This Ayah indicates that they are exposed to Hellfire, morning and afternoon, not continuously. Thus, punishment or pleasure is determined by Allah with regard to the details and the way of punishment or pleasure. However, we know that a believer enjoys blessings in the grave, whereas a disbeliever experiences punishment in the grave, but the manner of pleasure or punishment belongs to Allah (Exalted be He). We have nothing to say about this point except for what is mentioned in the Sunnah that a gate to Paradise is open for the believer, from which blessings and fragrances of Paradise come to him and a gate to Hellfire is open for the disbeliever, may Allah save us!
It is related in the Two Sahih (authentic) Books of Hadith (by Al-Bukhari and Muslim), As narrated by Ibn `Abbas, Once the Prophet, while passing through one of the graveyards of Medina or Mecca, heard the voices of two persons who were being tortured in their graves. The Prophet said, "These two persons are being tortured not for a major sin (to avoid)." The Prophet then added, "Yes! (they are being tortured for a major sin). Indeed, one of them never saved himself from being soiled with his urine while the other used to go about with calumnies (to make enmity between friends)." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that those two persons were being tortured for two sins, but he did not explain how they were being tortured. As for the sinful, nothing in the Prophetic Sunnah or the Noble Qur'an indicates
(Part No. 4; Page No. 318)
how they enjoy blessings or how they undergo punishment in the grave. Whoever die while committing a sin from which they have not repented such as adultery, drinking alcohol or being ungrateful to parents may be exposed to the danger of punishment, but none knows anything about this matter except for Allah (may He be Exalted and Glorified). However, sinful persons are neither treated like disbelievers nor like the believers, as they will be in a rank between the two parties. In the Hereafter, the sinful may be punished or pardoned by Allah and admitted into Paradise. They may be entered into Hellfire, but they will not remain there forever. They will be punished according to their sins and they will be then taken out of Hellfire to be admitted into Paradise. Sinful persons are no more than wrong doers, as they are neither believers nor disbelievers, but Paradise will be their final abode.

Q: Will those experiencing pleasure in their graves enjoy continuous blessings until being admitted into Paradise in the Hereafter, or may they later be punished on the Day of Resurrection?
A: There are authentic Hadiths reported about Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) that indicate that a dead person is tested in his grave where they will be asked about their lord, their Deen and their prophet. If they give correct answers to these questions, a gate to Paradise is open for them from which blessings, the fragrance of Paradise comes to them and their grave become a garden of the gardens of Paradise. Such blessings will remain till the Day of Resurrection when they will be taken from their grave to Paradise. If one fails this test saying, "Aa, Aa, I do not know, as I heard people say such and such thing, so I followed them," they will be punished in the grave, may Allah forbid! Then, they will be subject
(Part No. 4; Page No. 319)
Allah's Will. If they are sinful, they will be under Allah's Will, but if they are disbelievers, they are taken from their graves to Hellfire, may Allah forbid, as Allah (Glorified be He) says: Verily, Allâh forgives not that partners should be set up with Him (in worship), but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He wills

Homeless & Senseless

Homeless & Senseless

It is reported that ‘Abdullāh b. Mas’ūd – Allāh be pleased with him – said:

This world (the dunyā) is [only taken as] a home by those who will have no real home [in Jannah], and it is the wealth of those who will have no real wealth, and it is gathered and collected for by those who have no real intelligence.

“A powerful desire which does not end”

“A powerful desire which does not end”

Al-Asbahaani narrates with a Hassan chain:

“Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet was asked: “Will the people of Paradise have sexual intercourse with their wives?” He said: “Yes, with a member that does not tire, and a vagina which does not experience difficulties, and a powerful desire which does not end”.

Eating and Drinking in Jannah..!

Eating and Drinking in Jannah..!
Ibn Hibbaan collects a hadeeth that mentions that a Jewish Man approached the prophet and said: "Oh Abul Qaasim! Do you not claim that the people of Jannah will eat in Jannah and drink? So he said:
"Yes! by he in whose hands is the soul of Muhammad! Indeed one of them will be given the strength of one hundred men for eating, drinking and sexual relations" he (The man) said:
But the one who eats and drinks needs to answer to the call of nature, but there will be nothing harmful (or unpleasant) in Jannah! so he replied:  "Answering the call of nature for one of them will be through perspiration that will exit their skins with the fragrance of musk, then their stomachs will be emptied (and become lean)(Collected by Ahmad and Nasaa'ie and declared 'Saheeh' by Shaikh Al Albaani in 'Saheeh Targheeb' 3739)

The Description of the Worldly Women in Jannah

Bismillahi Wal hamdullillah Was Salaatu Was Salaamu ‘alaa Rasoolillahi
Ammaa Ba’d:

The following are some text related to the women of Jannah, and I intend by the women of Jannah here, the women from the women of the Dunya who were successful in making it to Jannah. Since in the texts of the Book and the Sunnah, we understand that the women of Jannah are of two main types, The women of the Dunya who were rewarded with Jannah (From Mankind and the Jinn), and: The Hoorul Een who have never been in the dunya but were created in Jannah for Jannah.

It should also be Known that from the worldly women that are rewarded with Jannah there are those who are superior to the Hoorul Een.

The messenger – Sallallahu Alaihi Was Salam said: “The best women of Jannah are four Khadeejah Binti Khuwailid, Faatimah Binti Muhammad, Maryam Binti ‘Imraan and Aasiyah Binti Mazaahim the wife of Pharoah.. )

(Collected by Imaam Haakim in his ‘Mustadrak’ (3836))

Concerning the Hadeeth Imaamul Manaawi states:

“..he mentioned ‘.. Women of Ahlul Jannah’ and he didnt (just) say ‘Women‘ to prove that they are more virtuous than (even) the Hoor (Al Een), otherwise it would be believed that he (only) intended the women of this world..”

Indeed from the scholars are those who held that the women of Jannah who were in this world and earned Jannah are all better than the Hoorul Een, since one was created in Jannah, while the other was rewarded with Jannah through their Imaan and righteous deeds and thus are superior.

So there are a number of characteristics mentioned concerning the women of Jannah who were women from the children of Aadam that were rewarded with Jannah after being in the dunyah.

From that:

Allah will purify them!

Allah the most high says:

“And give glad tidings to those who believe and do righteous good deeds that for them will be gardens beneath which rivers flow. Everytime they will be provided with a fruit therefrom they will say this is what we were provided with before and they will be given things in resemblance and they will have therein purified spouses and they will abide therein forever”
(Suratul Baqarah Vs 25)

Concerning the portion of the verse “..they will have therein purified spouses” Ibn Abbaas and Ibn Mas’ood said: “They will not have menses, neither will that defecate, urinate, break wind or have mucus.

Allah will ‘recreate’ them!

Concerning the statement of Allah the most high:

Verily we will create them of special creation, and will make them virgins, Loving and playful (with their husbands) of equal age
(Suratul Waaqi’ah 35-37)

concerning the first verse mentioned here Qataadah and sa’eed ibn Jubair mentioned: ” i.e We Have created them anew”

Ibn Abbaas mentioned: “He (Allah) intends here, Adamiyaat (that is, women from the children of Aadam, since some held that the intent with the verse are the Hoorul ‘Aen’)

That which brings clarity to this is the hadeeth of the messenger -Sallallahu Alaihi was Salam “Elderly women will not enter Jannah” Upon hearing this an elderly woman began to cry so the messenger of Allah said: “Inform her that on that day she will not be elderly rather she will be youthful For indeed Allah has said: “Verily we will create them of special creation..”

(Collected by At Tirmidhi and declared ‘Hasan’ by Shaikh Al Albaani in ‘Ghaayatul Maraam p215)

Concerning the statement: ‘Uruban..(Loving and playful (with their husbands)
Ibn Abbaas mentioned: “Passionate and emotional with their husbands and their husbands are passionate and emotional with them

(Tafseer Ibn Katheer 7/533 – Darut Taiybah print)

They will be large Chested maidens

Concerning the statement of Allah

Gardens and grapeyards, and young full breasted maidens of equal age..”
(Suratul Naba Vs 32-33)

Ibn Katheer mentions:” It was mentioned by Ibn Abbaas, Mujaahid and others concerning the statement of Allah: “Kawaa’iba Atraabaa ‘That is they will be Full breasted young maidens, due to the fact that they will be virgins, Loving and playful (with their husbands) of equal age (since the people of Jannah will be of one age) as has been clarified in (the explanation of) Suratul Waaqi’ah
(Tafseer ibn Katheer 8/308 (Dar Tayyibah Print))

They will have the most beautiful clear skin!

Upon the authority of Abu Huriaira who said the prophet – Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Was Salam Said (describing the beauty of women in Jannah): “..Her marrow is visable beneath her skin, and there are no bachelors in Paradise

(Collected by Bukhaari and Muslim)

Concerning this description of her skin in the hadeeth Imaamul Iraaqi mentions in tarhu Tathreeb “..Her marrow is visable beneath her skin..” That is, from the extremely pure nature of her skin, one can see her marrow just as one can see the fine threads inside a very pure pearl..”
(Tarhu Tathreeb 9/226)

However this manifests, it will be beautiful!

They will continue to become more beautiful every friday….forever!

Upon the authority of Anas ibn Maalik who said that the Messenger of Allah  – Sallallahu alaihi wa Salam said: “Indeed in Jannah there is a market that will be attended (by the inhabitants of Jannah) every Jumu’ah, wherein a breeze will blow upon them from the north, it will blow in their faces and upon their garments and they will increase in good looks and beauty (due to it). They will return to their families who would also have become more good looking and beautiful. Their families will say to them ‘By Allah! you have become more good looking and beautiful since you have left us! and they will say back to them: ‘And you By Allah have become more good looking and beautiful since we have left out!’

one version mentions at its end ’..and that is every Jumu’ah’

(Collected by Muslim in his ‘Saheeh’)

Their beautiful fragrance

Upon the authority of Anas Ibn Maalik – Radhiyallahu ‘anhu – who said that the Messenger of Allah – Sallallahu alaihi Was Salam – Said: “..If a woman from the women of Jannah were to appear in this world, that which is between (the heavens and the earth) would be filled with her (beautiful) fragrance.

Their Brilliance!

And they they would illuminate that which is between the heavens and the earth..
The brilliant beauty of their garments alone

The previous hadeeth continues..

“.. The scarf that is on her head is better than the world and that which is upon it!”
(Collected By Tirmidhi (1651) and declared ‘Saheeh’ by Shaikh Al Albaani in Saheeh Sunan At Tirmidhi)

And as some of the salaf said: “If this is her scarf (or shawl) then what about her!. Think of All the tremendous beauty that is present in our present world and know that one of her accessories alone is better than it all!
This is just a portion of that which has occured concerning what is promised to her, that is not to mention all the other delights of Jannah that she will partake in alongside the men who enter.

How Sins can Cause you to Enter Paradise

How Sins can Cause you to Enter Paradise

By

Shaykh ul –Islaam
Ibn Qayyim aj-Jawzeeyah as-Salafi [d.751AH]

-Rahimullaah-

Translated
by
Umm Yahya

Shamsuddeen Muhammad bin Abee Bakr Ibn Qayyim aj-Jawzeeyah (d.751 A.H.) -Rahimullaah- said:

‘Indeed a slave commits a sin and enters Paradise through committing it and he performs a good deed and enters the Hellfire through performing it.’
It was asked ‘How is this (possible)?’

Ibn Qayyim -Rahimullaah- answered:

‘A sin is committed and thus does not cease to be before his eyes (causing him to be) fearful of it, concerned about it frightened and weeping due to his regret of doing it. Feeling ashamed due to this action before his Lord The Most High, with his head lowered between his hands, and his heart broken and despondent due to it.
Therefore that sin will be more beneficial to him than numerous acts of obedience could be. As a consequence these previously mentioned matters are the cause for this slave of Allaah’s happiness and success until that sin will be a reason for him to enter Paradise.

A slave of Allaah performs a good deed and he continues to view it as if he has performed a favour for his Lord and is egotistic due to that good deed, and he is conceited, vain and arrogant due to the sin. So he says I did such and such action (boasting) causing to him to inherit the characteristic of pride, haughtiness and adopting an overbearing attitude.

This becomes the reason for his destruction.

Thus if Allaah Ta’ala intends good for the needy slave He trials him with something in order to bring him down and to lower his neck in humiliation and to decrease his importance to himself. However if Allaah intended for him (the slave) anything other than good He (Allaah) would have left him alone and his vanity and pride and this is the deception which necessitates his destruction.’

“The strength of seventy men”

 “The strength of seventy men”

Al-Qurtubee narrated without a sanad:

قال عبدالله ٱبن عباس رضي الله عنهما: “إنّ الرجل من أهل الجنة ليعانق الحوراء سبعين سنة، لا يملّها ولا تملّه، كلما أتاها وجدها بكراً، وكلما رجع إليها عادت إليه شهوته؛ فيجامعها بقوة سبعين رجلاً، لا يكون بينهما منيّ؛ يأتي من غير منيّ منه ولا منها” – تفسير القرطبي 15/43
“Ibn Abbaas said: “Verily, a man from the dwellers of jannah will be able to have sexual intercourse with a woman of paradise, for 70 years continuously! He will not be able tire her, nor will she ever tire him. Every time that he returns to her, he will find her to be a virgin and his desires will return. He will have sexual intercourse with her, with the strength of seventy men, and neither of them will ejaculate”.

The people of Sunnah have nobody except Allaah

Shaykh Muqbil Al-Wadi’ee  said:

“The people of Sunnah have nobody except Allaah. And we do not seek to please people in order to attain (high) positions in the army or the ministries, but we ask Allaah, the Supreme, to raise our ranks by entering us into the garden, the size of which is equivalent to the heavens and the earth.”

The Best Women of Paradise‏

 The Best Women of Paradise‏

On the authority of Abdullaah ibn Abbaas (May Allaah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"The best of the women from the people of paradise are Khadeejah bint Khuwaylid, Faatimah bint Muhammad, Maryam bint Imraan, and Aasiyah bint Muzaahim the wife of Fir'awn."

(As-Saheehah of Imaam Al-Albaani (May Allaah have mercy upon him) Hadeeth #1508)

Note: Being that these are the best women of paradise it's befitting for the Muslimaat to read their life stories and pattern themselves after these noble women.
