Imam al Bukhari's Memory

Imam al Bukhari's Memory

Narrated Abū Al-Azhār:

There were around 400 scholars of Hadīth in samarqand, and they all gathered to try cause Muḥammad b. Ismā'il al-Bukhāri to make a mistake.

So, in order to test him, they mixed the chains of sham with the chains of Iraq, and the chains of Iraq with the chains Sham, and the chains of the Haram with the chains of Yemen.

With all of this, they were unable to chase him to make a single mistake.

Hadith about ignoring the compulsory prayers...

The Prophet said: (In a dream, I saw someone) whose head was being crushed with a stone (and he) was the one who learnt the Qur’an but never acted on it, and slept ignoring the compulsory prayers.

 No: By Your Father"!

Imaam Bukhaari rahimahullah

Chapter 335: A Man Saying, "Laa: Wa Abika, No: By Your Father"

778.  Abu Hurayra said: "A man came to the Messenger of Allah (صلي الله عليه وسلم) and said, 'Messenger of Allah, which sadaqa has the best reward?' He answered, 'Wa abika. By your father, you will learn of it. 'It is that you give sadaqa while you are healthy and avaricious, fearful of poverty and desirous of wealth. You should not delay it until you are at the point of death and then say, "This much is for so-and-so. This much is for so-and-so when it already belongs to so-and-so." ' "

ONE MAY NOT ACCEPT GIFTS IF IT LEADS TO HATRED!

ONE MAY NOT ACCEPT GIFTS IF

 IT LEADS TO HATRED!

Imaam Bukhaari rahimahullah

Chapter 270: One May Not Accept Gifts if it Leads to Hatred

596.   Abu Hurayra said: "A man from the Banu Fazaara gave a she-camel to the Prophet  (صلي الله عليه وسلم) and he gave him something in exchange for it. That angered the man and I heard the Prophet  (صلي الله عليه وسلم) say on the minbar, 'One of you gives a gift and I give him something I have in exchange and then he becomes angry. By Allah, after this year, I will never accept a gift from any Arab except from the Quraysh, the Ansaar, a Thaqafi or a Dawsi." *

*Because he knew their good nature, that they do not send presents in expectation of getting more in return.

EXTRAVAGANCE IN PROPERTY!

EXTRAVAGANCE IN PROPERTY!

Imaam Bukhaari -rahimahullah-

Chapter 207: Extravagance in Property

442.   Abu Hurayra said: "The Messenger of Allah (صلي الله عليه وسلم) said, 'Allah is pleased with you about three things and He is angry with you about three things. He is pleased that you worship Him, not associating anything with Him, that you all take hold of the rope of Allah and that you are sincere to those that Allah has put in authority over you. He dislikes you engaging in idle talk, asking too many questions and squandering wealth.' "

443.   (ATH 103) Ibn 'Abbaas commented about the words of Allah, the Mighty and Exalted: "Whatever you spend, He will replace and He  is the best of Providers' (34: 39), '(whatever you spend) without extravagance or stinginess.' "

The excellence of books of Hadeeth such as al Bukharee!

The excellence of books of
Hadeeth such as al Bukharee!

Al-Fadl ibn Isma’eel al-Jarjaanee said in his lines of poetry:

“Saheeh al Bukharee – if they were fair to it,

would not be written except with water of gold,

It is the difference between the guided and the blinded,

It is a barrier excluding distress and ruin.

The asaaneed are like the stars of the sky,

The main text like a shooting star, With it,

the scales of the religion of the prophet (sallallahu alyhi wa sallaam) were set up,

The foreigners followed the arab in submitting to it,

Making a sheild from the fire, with no doubt in it.

Distinguishing between those who recieve (Allaah’s) pleasure

and those who recieve His anger”

The Significance of The Rainbow and The Milky Way

The Significance of The Rainbow and The Milky Way

Upon the authority of Abut Tufail who said: Ibnil Kawwaa asked Ali – Radhiyallahu ‘Anhu – about the Milky Way so he replied:

It is the ‘Sharaj’ (broad opening to the heavens) and from it Allah sent water down in abundance (i.e during the flood of Nooh)

(Collected by Imaamul Bukhaari in his Adabul Mufrad 766/589)

Shaikh Al Albaani declared its isnaad ‘Saheeh’ then commented:

The ‘Sharaj’ of a valley is its expansive wider opening (i.e. its mouth, its broad beginning)”

Upon the authority of Ibn Abbaas – Radhiyallahu ‘Anhumaa – who said: The rainbow is a safeguard for the inhabitants of the earth that they will not be drowned (as a form of destruction as in the time of Nooh) and the Milky Way is the door of the heavens and the splitting of the heavens will begin from it (i.e on the day of Judgement)”

(Collected by Imaamul Bukhaari in his Adabul Mufrad 767/590)

Shaikh Albaani declared its isnaad ‘Saheeh’

Convert your regular spending on the family into charity

Convert your regular spending on the family into charity

293. Abu Mas`ud Al-Badri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said,

"When someone spends on his family seeking his reward for it from Allah, it is counted as a charity from him". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Commentary from Riyad-as-Saliheen: `Seeking his reward' means that one is supporting his family as a duty entrusted by Allah. It is also warranted by compassion for the near ones. A person who does it as a duty ordained by Allah and shows mercy to his deserving relatives to attain His Pleasure then what he spends with this intention on his children will be eligible for reward from Allah.
