Is Khul’ considered a Divorce Pronouncement?

Is Khul’ considered a Divorce Pronouncement?

By Shaikh-ul-Islaam Ibn Taimiyyah (rahimahullaah)

From Majmoo' al-Fataawaa (vol. 32, pg. 289 – 290, 292)

[Begin Quote from Page 289]

He (rahimahullaah) was asked about al-Khul‘:

“Is Khul‘ considered divorce and is it counted as one of the three divorce pronouncements? Is it (Khul‘) still considered valid without intending divorce and saying the word Talaaq (or its equal)?”

He (rahimahullaah) answered:

This issue has been an issue of great dispute between the Salaf (predecessors) and the Khalaf (contemporaries). The famous opinion in the Madhhab of Al-Imaam Ahmad and his companions is that it (khul‘) is a permanent separation and complete dissolution of the marriage that is not to be incorporated as being from the three Talaaq pronouncements.

Therefore if the man was to perform Khul‘ ten times (to the same woman, remarrying her after each Khul‘) then this is allowed for him as long as he remarries her with a new wedding contract (and its requisites – Dowry, etc.) even if she has not wed another man other than him (between each consecutive remarriage). This is also one of the reported statements of Ash-Shafi‘ee. This has also been chosen and sponsored by a large majority of the Sahaabah. Another group of Sahaabah sponsored it but did not choose it. This is the position of the Jumhoor (overwhelming Majority) of the Fuqahaa of Hadeeth – Ishaaq bin Rahawiyah, Abu Thawr, Dawoud, Ibnul Mundhir, and Ibn Khuzaymah. It is also authentically established as a statement of Ibn ‘Abbaas (radyAllaahu ‘anhu) and his companions – Tawoos and ‘Ikrimah. The second opinion (claims) that it (khul‘) is to be counted as one of the three divorce pronouncements. It is (also) reported as the statement from many amongst the Salaf. It is the opinion of Abu Haneefah, Maalik and one of the opinions of Ash-Shafi‘ee. Some claim it was his most recent verdict. It is also reported as one of the statements of Ahmad. They report narrations from ‘Umar, ‘Uthmaan, ‘Alee and Ibn Mas‘ood (to support their position). But we find that Imaam Ahmad and numerous others from the Imaams of Knowledge of Hadeeth (Scholars of Hadeeth) – Ibnul Mundhir, Ibn Khuzaymah, al-Bayhaqee and others – have declared (with evidence) that the narrations attributed to them (‘Umar, ‘Uthmaan, ‘Alee and Ibn Mas‘ood) are da‘eef (Weak and unsubstantiated). The only authenticated narration is that which is reported from Ibn ‘Abbaas (radyAllaahu ‘anhu) that Kkul‘ is Faskh or dissolution and not Talaaq. Ash-Shafi‘ee himself stated we do not know the condition of the reporter of the narration of ‘Uthmaan – whether he is Thiqah (trusted) or other than Thiqah?

Therefore we establish that they (the holders of the second opinion) did not authenticate the narrations attributed to the Sahaabah. on the other hand they admitted that they did not know the authenticity of the narrations.

Further, we know that no one from the scholars authenticated those narrations attributed to the Sahaabah stating that Khul‘ was to be counted (and dealt with) as an irrevocable Talaaq that is counted as one of the three pronouncements.

Furthermore, we report the Saheeh narration that ‘Uthmaan ordered a woman in the state of Khul‘ to wait only one menstrual cycle (before remarrying) to have Istibraa’ (prove that she is not pregnant from the previous husband). He stated to her: “You do not have ‘Iddah or waiting period (other than Istibraa’).” This proves that he deemed khul‘ a complete separation that was not divorce, since (the regulations of) Talaaq for the woman who has been entered upon (cohabited with her partner) that she must wait three Quroo’ (menstrual cycles) as is explicitly stated in the Qur’aan and the consensus of the Muslims (scholars). This of course is dissimilar to the state of Khul‘.

In the authentic Sunnah and Athaar (narrations) of the Sahaabah, we see that the waiting period is Istibraa’. That is the opinion of Ishaaq, Ibnul Mundhir and others. It is also one of the two reported statements of Ahmad. Ibn ‘Abbaas also permitted the return of a woman who had been divorced twice and was separated finally with a khul‘ to return to her husband without marrying another man before returning to him. Ibraheem bin Sa‘d bin Abee Waqaas asked Ibn ‘Abbaas about this issue when he was appointed by Az-Zubair as the custodian of Yemen. He said to Ibn ‘Abbaas (radyAllaahu ‘anhu) that the majority of Talaaq in Yemen was that of Fidaa’ – woman ransoming herself or Khul‘. Ibn ‘Abbaas (radyAllaahu ‘anhu) responded: “To pay to dissolve the marriage is not Talaaq. People have erred in labeling it.” Ibn ‘Abbaas then recited: “The divorce is twice, after that, either you retain her on reasonable terms or release her with kindness.

And it is not lawful for you (men) to take back (from your wives) any of your Mahr (bridal money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage) which you have given them, except when both parties fear that they would be unable to keep the limits ordained by Allaah (i.e. to deal with each other on a fair basis). Then if you fear that they would not be able to keep the limits ordained by Allaah, then there is no sin on either of them if she gives back (the Mahr or a part of it) for her Khul' (divorce). These are the limits ordained by Allaah, so do not transgress them. And whoever transgresses the limits ordained by Allaah, then such are the wrongdoers. And if he has divorced her (the third time), then she is not lawful unto him thereafter until she has married another husband.” [Surah Al-Baqarah: 229-230]

Ibn ‘Abbaas then said: “Allaah mentions after (sanctioning) al-Fidyah or Khul‘ after two pronouncements of divorce that if “he has divorced her (the third time), then she is not lawful unto him thereafter until she has married another husband.” This incorporates al-Fidyah specifically and other than it in general. If Fidyah (Khul‘) were counted as Talaaq then the count would have been four. This is also the famous statement reported from Ahmad and from the companions of Ibn ‘Abbaas..

[End quote from page 290]

[Begin Quote from Page 292]

Those from amongst the Fuqahaa who followed what was (erroneously) attributed to the Sahaabah that Khul‘ is to be counted as an irrevocable Talaaq were under the impression that they were authentic narrations. They did not posses the ability (resources) to be critical of these particular Athaar and distinguish the Saheeh from the Da‘eef. only Imaam Ahmad (at that time) and his peers from like caliber scholars possessed the resources to weed out those narrations. Therefore those who reported the statements of the Sahaabah who differed with Ibn ‘Abbaas and his companions from the Sahaabah did not know that there was nothing authentically reported to dispute his authentically reported narrations. Questions & Answers on Khula'

Ours Fingersprint∞

Thursday, 06 January 2011 18:14 Abu Abdullah

The following questions were asked for me by brother Abduililah Lahmami (student of Shaykh Obayd) to the esteemed Shaykhs Muhammad Abdulwahaab al Banna and Shaykh Obayd al Jaabiri.

As Salaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatu Allah wa Barakatuh: Oh esteemed Shaykh, may Allah T'ala reward you and preserve you. I humbly ask you Shaykh  to please benefit me and those that I share this with answers to the following important matter as it is rampant here in my town. Jazak Allahu Khair.

The following answer to these questions are from Shaykh Muhammad Abdulwahaab al Banna

Question: In dar kufr does the imam have the right to grant khul and can someone other than him grant khula?

Answer: If there is not a Muslims leader to return to then it is allowed for you in your situation to go to the Imam of the mosque.

Question: if a wife wants khul and the husband refuses, can he be made to seperate from her and in the land of the kufar who has the right to make this separation?

Answer: The judge after he is presented the information judges whether she has a case for Khul', if she does then it is granted and is binding. If she is not able to live with her husband then she goes to the judge and explains to him the reasons since Islam does not allow a women to be tortured by her husband.

Question: Once the khul is granted is it an immediate divorce and must the woman and man separate or does she reside with him while in iddah?

Answer: There is no 'iddah in Khul' once she gives back the mahr (dowry) and then she is granted the khul' by the judge.

Question: Does she have a iddah of 30 days and may men indirectly express interest until the end of the iddah?

Answer: She is no longer married once the khul' is granted

Question: There have been many khulas granted here in the U.S. while the sister was pregnant and it was finalized, is this permissible?

Answer: Yes

Question: Is there iddah for the woman who was given talaq or had a khula who just had a baby?
Answer: Talaq 'iddah is 3 cycles? Khul' no 'iddah even if she just had a baby.

Question: If the husband delays the salah, is this grounds for khula?

Answer: Khul' Is a serious matter and should not be taken lightly, if the husband commits fornication, drinks alcohol then these are grounds for khul' if the husband does not accept leaving these. Also if he delays the prayer then remind him of Allaah and advise him. once must also consider the fate of the children in rushing to do a khul' since who will be their father?

Question: If the husband leaves the country for another country, can the wife get a khula?.

Answer: I see that the maximum time period is 4 months if he is away for longer than this period and she can't cope then she should tell him to take me with you or leave me.

Question: Does the woman have to cover in front of her husband while in iddah from a khula'?

Answer: There is no 'iddah from a khul'

Question: Is is permissible for a woman on salafiyyah to marry a hizbee or continue to be married to a man of deviance (ikhwani) as long as he is not shia, sufi or some other extreme deviance?

Answer: Sorry no answer The next answer is from Shaykh Obayd al Jaabiree

Question: After divorce does the man have to provide money to suport his children or should he just buy what is needed to be sure the child/children gets what they need?

Answer: Yes he must provide for his children after the divorce in terms of dress and money for their well being. As for a place to stay then this is not up to him if he has divorced his wife.

Question: Once last thing Shaykh. In regards to aqeeqah. Does the head of a female child get shaved, I was told it was disliked to do so? And if an aqeeqah can not be afforded now, does one still shave the childs head and all other actions of aqeeqah and slaughter later or is all this done at the time of slaughter? No answer sorry

For those questions that were not answered, they were not asked of the esteemed Shaykhs. InshaAllah answers to them will come.

Join feet in Salaah?

..

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-Uthaymeen:

-“If it´s evident that the person who stands besides you in Salaah keeps moving their feet away from you (i.e. refuses to join feet) it is not from the Sunnah for you to move your foot closer (because then you’ll end up standing with widespread feet).”-

Reminder after the burial at the graveyard...

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Question:  Is it permissible to give a reminder after the burial at the graveyard?
Answer:
by ash-Shaikh Dr. Saalih bin Sa’ad as-Suhaymi حفظه الله (Lecturer at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah)
الشيخ العلامة صالح بن سعد السحيمي -حفظه الله تعالى: المُدرس بالمسجد النبوي
No!
If there’s a need it should be before the burial. To remind people to stick to the Sunnah and stay away from Innovation (Bid’ah). So that this doesn’t turn into a sermons and lectures, rather its just a short admonishment. But after the burial, then No.
“I saw during my night journey some men whose lips were being clipped with clippers of fire. I said, ‘Who are these people, Jibreel?’ He replied, ‘These are the people from your followers who gave sermons commanding the people with righteousness, yet forgetting to practice it themselves.”

The Worst People of this Nation

The Worst People of this Nation

Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet, (sallAllahu alayhi wa salam) , said, “The worst of my community are those who speak a lot, those who are diffuse in speech and those who fill their mouth with words. The best of my community are the best of them in character.

Bukhari in Adabu Mufrad (1308) graded as being sahih by Al-Albani

Scholarly comments for this subject:

” Those who speak a lot ” refers to the people who constantly talk about things of no importance in Islam.[1]
” Those who are diffuse in speech ” This applies to the person who  constantly chatters and  idly gossips without prudence. [2]
” Those who fill their mouth with words…” This refers to a person who talks at great length. [3]
worst_people

” The best of my community are the best of them in character.” This was mentioned with those who speak a lot, because the one who perfects his character weighs his speech and actions. He rarely speaks about things that don’t concern him. He protects himself from talking too much, gossiping, and talking at great length. The only people described  with these traits are those with bad character, those who are arrogant, and those who make themselves look good at the expense of making others look bad.[4]

TREAT YOUR WIFE HOW YOU WOULD WANT YOUR DAUGHTER TO BE TREATED

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy upon him) said,
“…Know that when you deal and interact with your wife then it is mandatory that you think of a [scenario] where a man is the husband of your daughter. How does he treat her? Would you be pleased for him to treat her with harshness and sternness? The answer is no. Therefore, do not be content with treating the daughter of another person in a fashion that you would not be pleased for your daughter to be treated. This principle should be known by all people.”
[Ash-Sharh Al-Mumti’ (vol. 12, p. 381), Translated by Hassan Somali]

How can the believer be content to live in the land of the kuffaar...?

How can the believer be content to live in the land of the kuffaar...?

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah) said:

How can the believer be content to live in the land of the kuffaar where the rituals of kufr are proclaimed openly and rule belongs to someone other than Allaah and His Messenger, seeing that with his own eyes, hearing that with his own ears and approving of it, and even starting to feel that he belongs there and living there with his wife and children, and feeling as comfortable there as he does in the Muslim lands, even though he and his wife and children are in such great danger and their religious commitment and morals are in such peril?

Is Jesus God?

 Is Jesus God?

Jesus always expressed his subordination to his God and Creator.

Examples:

Did Nothing On His Own Authority:

[John 5:30] “I can of my own self do nothing, As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.”

[John 14:31] “I do exactly as the Father commanded Me Get up, let us go from here.”

[Matthew 20:23] “ but to sit on My right hand and on My left is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared by My Father.”

Spoke Not On His Own Authority:

[John 8:28] “So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am the one I claim to be and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me.”

Said That The Father Is Greater Than Him:

[John 14:28] “You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.”

Was Tempted:

[Matthew 4:1] “Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil.”

But God can not be tempted:

[James 1:13] “When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone”

He Denied Knowledge Of The Unseen:

[Mark 13:32]“No-one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

[Matthew 24:36-38] “No-one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

He Was Circumcised, Imagine, God, Being Circumcised!

[Luke 2:21] “On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise him, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he had been conceived.”

Was Subject To Change:

[Luke 2:52] “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature.”

But God is Immutable.

[Malachi 3:6]“For I am the Lord, I do not change;

Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

Did Not Accept To Be Called Good And Referred To God:

[Mark 10:18] “Why do you call me good? Jesus answered. No-one is good— except God alone.”

Prayed To God:

[Mark 14:32] “They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.”"

[Luke 5:16] “But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”

[Matthew 26:39] “…and Jesus fell on his face and prayed.”

[Mark 14:35] “Going a little farther, he (jesus) fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him.”

Ordered Everyone To Worship The One True Almighty God Alone:

[Matthew 4:10] “Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.”

[Deuteronomy 6:13] “Fear the LORD your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name.”

Referred To Himself As A Prophet:

[Luke 13:33-34] “In any case, I must keep going today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem! “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you.”

Others Also Called Him A Prophet:

[Luke 7:16] “They were all filled with awe and praised God. “A great prophet has appeared among us,” they said.”

[Luke 24:17-22] “”About Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people.”

[John 6:14] “After the people saw the miraculous sign that Jesus did, they began to say, “Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.”"

Refered To As A Servant Of God:

[Acts 3:13] “The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified His servant Jesus, the one whom you delivered”

[Acts 4:27] “For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy (A)servant Jesus.”

God Sent Jesus

[John 17:3] “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

He Made A Distinction Between Himself And The Father:

[Matthew 23:9] “Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.”

[John 12:26-28] “Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me. “Now my heart is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name!”"

Refered To Himself Frequently As Son Of Man

[Matthew 8:20] “Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no-where to lay His head.”"

[Matthew 12:32] “Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.”

[Matthew 12:40] “for just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the sea monster (Whale), so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”

[Matthew 17:9] “As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, “Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man has risen from the dead.”"

[John 6:27] “”Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal.”"

He Is Also Described As ‘A Man Approved By God’

[Acts 2:22] “Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man approved by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.”

The sign of knowledge that does not benefit...

Imam Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali: “The sign of knowledge that does not benefit is pride, arrogance, and conceit. Such a person seeks high position and ranking in this world and competes for it. He debates with the scholars with the aim of defeating them, and argues with the foolish with the aim of directing their attention towards him. It is reported from the Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him, that whoever seeks knowledge for this purpose,"for him is the Fire, the Fire!" Greatest type of punishment

Greatest type of punishment

Shaikh Uthaymeen, may Allaah have mercy on him, said,

“Many people think that being punished [for one’s sins] is only in those things that are external, like the body, wealth and children, but the reality is that the punishment of the sickness of the heart and its corruption is more severe and greater than the punishment through those things.”

Similarities Between Islam & Christianity

Similarities Between Islam & Christianity

All Prophets Prayed Doing Sajda.
(Sajda is the act of prostrating oneself to Almighty God by putting ones forehead on the floor – As we Muslims do five times a day).
PROOF:
[Genasis 17:3]
“…and Abraham fell on his face and prayed.”
[Numbers 20:6] “…and Moses and Aaron fell on their faces and prayed.”
[Joshua 5:14] “…and Joshua fell on his face and prayed.”
By now, you’re probably thinking “But Jesus never done it” so I show you…
[Matthew 26:39] “…and Jesus fell on his face and prayed.”
[Mark 14:35] “Going a little farther, he (jesus) fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him.”
Ands such has also been attested to in the Qur’aan:
[Soorah Maryam 19: 30-34] “He ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: Verily! I am a slave of Allah, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet; And He has made me blessed wheresoever I be, and has enjoined on me Salat (prayer), and Zakat, as long as I live. And dutiful to my mother, and made me not arrogant, unblest. “And Salam (peace) be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive!” Such is ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). (it is) a statement of truth, about which they doubt (or dispute).”
Also:
[Soorah Bayyinah 98:5] “And they (the Jews and Christians) were commanded not, but that they should worship Allah, and worship none but Him Alone (abstaining from ascribing partners to Him), and perform As-Salat(Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat: and that is the right religion.”
Jesus gives the Islamic greeting of “Assalaamu ‘alaykum”.
PROOF:
[Luke 24:36]
“Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Shalom alaikom (Peace be with you).”
All Praise is due to God Alone, for every bible in the bookshelf comes with the hebrew text aswell on this subject.
Jesus Was Circumcised.
PROOF:
[Luke 2:21]
“On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise him, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he had been conceived.”
Isaac, son of Abraham (Ishaaq Bin Ibraheem) Was Circumcised.
PROOF:
[Genasis 21:4]
“When his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him, as God commanded him.”
A Woman Should Wear A Hijab.
(The Hijab is a covering from the head worn to minimise the women’s beautiful attraction, hence lessening the chances of her being molested)
PROOF:
[1 Corinthians 11:5-7]
“But any woman who prays or prophesies with her head unveiled brings shame upon her head, for it is one and the same thing as if she had had her head shaved. For if a woman does not have her head veiled, she may as well have her hair cut off. But if it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should wear a veil.”
Lowering Your Gaze.
PROOF:
[Matthew 5:27-29]
Jesus says “You have heard that it was said to them of old: Thou shalt not commit adultery. But I say to you, that whosoever shall look on a woman to lust after her, hath already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
Don’t Wear Clothes Of The Oposite Sex.
PROOF:
[Deuteronomy 22:5]
“A woman shall not be clothed with man’s apparel, neither shall a man use woman’s apparel: for he that doth these things is abominable before God.”
No Drinking Of Alcohol!
PROOF:
[Proverbs 20:1]
“Wine is a luxurious thing, and drunkenness riotous: whosoever is delighted therewith, shall not be wise.”
[Ephesians 5:18] “be not drunk with wine, wherein is luxury.”
Don’t Eat Pigs.
PROOF:
[Deutronomy 14:8]
“The swine(pig) also, because it divideth the hoof, but cheweth not the cud, shall be unclean, their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch.”
Don’t Make Pictures Of God.
(Unfortunatelly they love making pics of god and putting them up on their huge noticeboards outside the church. Tsk-tsk!)

PROOF:
[Deutronomy 5:7-9]
“Thou shalt not have strange gods in my sight. Thou shalt not make to thy self a graven thing, nor the likeness of any things, that are in heaven above, or that are in the earth beneath, or that abide in the waters under the earth. Thou shalt not adore them, and thou shalt not serve them.”
If a Christian is someone who follows the teaching of Jesus Christ, then us Muslims would like to say that we are more Christians than the Christians themselves!

Supplicating for Your Brothers

Supplicating for Your Brothers

Imaam Ibn al-Jawzi, may Allaah have mercy on him, said,

“[The Companion] Abud-Dardaa used to supplicate for a group of his brothers every night.  And Imaam Ahmad ibn Hanbal said to [Imaam] Shaafi’i’s son, ‘Your father is one of six for whom I supplicate every night before daybreak.’”

Saidul-Khaatir, p. 46.

O you who wasted his strength without reserve!

O you who wasted his strength without reserve!

Al Imaam Ibn Qayyim al Jawziyyah said

O you who wasted his strength without reserve! And transgressed in his illness without a shield!  And who has no patience to repent! Do not deny the approach of destruction, for illness will cause corruption! If you were to follow the divine remedy so as to cure yourself, by having a shield from vain desires and lusts you would have found salvation! Unfortunately, lust blinded your insight, to the extent that you think salvation means to abandon the promise of Allaah in return for vain desires! What blind insight you have! It makes you impatient for one hour, then you bare disgrace forever! You travel seeking this worldly life despite its transient nature and you neglect to prepare for your journey to the hereafter despite its eternity!

If you find a man, who is buying something worthless in return for something precious, and is selling something priceless in return for something of no value, verily he is a fool”

We Need Salafy Schools or We Need to Leave!

Brother Abu Mu'aawiyyah shared these notes from today's tele-link:

Shaykh Abu Abdul'Alaa Khalid 'Uthmaan al-Misree (hafidhahullah) said,

"Protecting Our Children's Muslim Identity.... It is obligitory for Muslims upon the sunnah in the west to get together and form a school, or gather together in one location, to teach the Qur'aan and Sunnah and have our children intermingle with one another. The Shaykh said Imaam Malik has a statement that it is not permissible to send our children to the non-muslim to even learn reading and writing. This is because the non-muslims will exert all their efforts and energy to influence our children into their creed, beliefs and behaviour.

The Shaykh (hafidhahullah) said, "...If the Salafis find it difficult to establish their own schools, then it is upon them to hasten to make hijrah!"

Wherever you see Fitnah: RUN!

Wherever you see Fitnah: RUN!

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

Allaah تعالى says:

وَلَا تُلْقُوا بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى التَّهْلُكَةِ

{…and do not throw yourselves into destruction} [Surah al-Baqarah (2): 195]

Yusuf عليه السلام fled from the Fitnah, when the wife of the `Azeez approached him:

وَاسْتَبَقَا الْبَابَ وَقَدَّتْ قَمِيصَهُ مِن دُبُرٍ

{So they raced with one another to the door, and she tore his shirt from the back}. [Surah Yusuf (12): 25]

Before his Prophethood, Moosaa عليه السلام fled from the evil:

فَفَرَرْتُ مِنكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ

{“So I fled from you when I feared you”} [Surah al-Shu`araa’ (26): 21]

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم instructed Hudhaifah bin al-Yamaan رضي الله عنه that during the times of Fitan. Hudhaifah said to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم: What do you order me to do if such a state should take place in my life? He صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

تَلْزَمُ جَمَاعَةَ المُسْلِمِينَ وَإِمَامَهُمْ

“Stick to the group of Muslims and their Imaam (ruler).” Hudhaifah said: If there is neither a group of Muslims nor an Imaam (ruler)?

"Then turn away from all those sects even if you were to bite (eat) the roots of a tree till death overtakes you while you are in that state.” [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (3606, 7084) and Saheeh Muslim (4553)]

Evil effects of Fitan:

Adopted from the Book “Athaar al-Fitan” by Shaikh `Abdul-Razzaaq bin `Abdul Muhsin al-Badr

1. Preoccupies the people and turns them away from `Ibaadah.

2. Turns them away from scholars and seeking knowledge.

3. The foolish take the lead.

4. Whoever exposes himself to Fitnah will perish.

5. Matters become doubtful as truth is mixed with falsehood.

6. Corruption of the youth.

7. Weakness in the bonds of religious brotherhood.

8. The audacity to murder and shed blood.

9. Security is disrupted.

10. Corrupt people get to spread their falsehood.

11. The enemies get an upper hand.

THE GREATNESS OF ALLAAH

THE GREATNESS OF ALLAAH

He is controlling the affairs of all the kingdoms. He commands and prohibits, creates and gives provision, and gives death and gives life. He raises and lowers people’s status, alternates night and day, gives days (good and not so good) to men by turns, and causes nations to rise and fall, so that one nation vanishes and another emerges.
His command and decree are carried out throughout the heavens and on earth, above it and below it, in the oceans and in the air. He has knowledge of all things and knows the number of all things. He hears all voices, and does not mistake one for another; He hears them all, in all the different languages and with all their varied requests and pleas.
No voice distracts Him from hearing another, He does not confuse theirrequests, and He never tires of hearing the pleas of those in need. He sees all that is visible, even the walk of a black ant across a solid rock in the darkest night. The unseen is visible to Him, and secrets are known to Him…
“Whosoever is in the heavens and on earth begs of Him [its needs from Him]. Every day He has a matter to bring forth [Sooratur-Rahmaan 55:29].
He forgives sins, eases worries, relieves distress, helps the defeated person back on his feet, makes the poor rich, guides the one who is astray and confused, fulfils the needs of the desperate, feeds the hungry, clothes the naked, conceals faults, and calms fears. He raises the status of some and lowers the status of others… Even if all the inhabitants of heaven and earth, the first and the last of them, mankind and jinn alike, were to be as pious as the most pious among them, this would not increase His sovereignty in the slightest.
If they all, the first and the last of them, mankind and jinn alike, were to be as rebellious as the most rebellious among them, this would not decrease His sovereignty in the slightest. If everything in heaven and on earth, the first and the last of them, mankind and jinn, living and dead, animate and inanimate, were to stand in one place and ask of Him, and He were to give them everything that they asked for, this would not decrease what He has by even an atom’s weight…
He is the First, before Whom there is nothing, and the Last, after Whom there is nothing, may He be blessed and exalted. He is the Most deserving of being remembered, the Most deserving of being worshipped, the Most deserving of being thanked.
He is the Most Compassionate of kings, the Most Generous of those who are asked… He is the King Who has no partner or associate, the One who has no rival, the Self-Sufficient Master, Who has no son, the Most High, and there is none like unto Him.
“Everything will perish save His face.” [Sooratul-Qasas 28:88]
And everything will vanish except His sovereignty… He will not be obeyed except by His permission, and He will not be disobeyed except with His knowledge. He is obeyed, so He shows His appreciation, and He is disobeyed, so he forgives. Every punishment on His part is justice, and every blessing from Him is a favour.
He is the closest of witnesses and the nearest of protectors. He seizes people by their forelocks, records their deeds and decrees the appointed time for all things. Hearts conceal nothing from Him, for secrets are known to Him. His gift is a word and His punishment is a word,
“Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing,is only that He says to it, “Be!” – and it is.”
[Soorah Yaaseen 36:82] [1]
