Don't Follow Blindly
Don't Follow Blindly
’Abdullaah Ibn Mas’ood (radiyallaahu ’anhumaa) said,
“Let not one of you blindly follow a man in his Religion, if he believes, he believes, and if he disbelieves, he disbelieves. If it is a must that you follow someone then let it be the dead, for indeed the living is not safe from fitnah.”
Refer to Sharh Usoolul-I’tiqaad (1/130) of al-Laalikaa‘ee.

al-Hassan Al Basri On Dunia ( Worldy Life)
al-Hassan Al Basri On Dunia
( Worldy Life)
Imam al-Hassan Al Basri said:
“We laugh and yet – who knows? – perhaps Allah has looked at some of our works and said: “I will not accept anything from you.” Woe to you, son of Adam! Can you fight Allah? Whoever disobeys Allah is fighting Him. By Allah! I have met seventy veterans of Badr. Most of their garments were wool. Had you seen them you would have said they are crazy, and had they seen the best among you they would have said: “Those people will have no part in the Hereafter.” Had they seen the worst among you they would have said: “Those people do not believe in the Day of Reckoning.” I have seen people for whom this world was cheaper than the dust under their feet. I have seen people the like of whom would come home at night, not finding more than his own portion of food, and yet say: “I shall not put all of this into my belly. I shall certainly give some away for Allah’s sake.” Then he would give away some of his food in charity, even if he were more in need of it than its recipient.”
Narrated from `Alqama ibn Marthad by Abu Nu`aym in Hilya al-Awliya’ (1985 ed. 2:134)

Better Say: 'I don't know' ..
Better Say: 'I don't know' ..
Imaam Maalik Ibn Anas (d.179H) – rahimahullaah – said:
“The shield of the scholar is saying, ‘I do not know.’ So if he forgets it, then his enemies strike him!” [Hilyatul-Awliyaa 6/323]
Al-Haytham Ibn Jameel said:
“I heard Maalik being asked about forty-eight questions, he replied to thirty-two of them saying, ‘I do not know.’”
’Abdur-Rahmaan Ibn Mahdee (d.198H) – rahimahullaah – said:
“[I]We were with Maalik Ibn Anas when a man came saying, ‘O Abaa ’Abdullaah, I have traveled a distance of six months. The people of my land sent me to ask you about a matter.’ So he said, ‘Ask!’ So the man asked him some things, so he replied, ‘I do not know.’ – and the man thought he had come to someone who knew everything, so he said, ‘What shall I tell the people of my land when I return to them?’ He said, ‘Say to them, Maalik Ibn Anas does not know.’”
Several of the Salaf, including Abu Al-Dardaa’ :anhu:, were quoted to have said: It is half of knowledge to say “I do not know”. (Siyar A’lam Al-Nubalaa’ by Imam Thahabi 8/77)

The Qur'an Will Be Taken Away..
The Qur'an Will Be Taken Away..
Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (radiallaho anho) said: "Surely the Qur’an will be taken away from amongst you, taken away in one night so it will be removed from the hearts of Men such that there shall remain nothing of it on the earth." (al-Tabarani and Ibn Hajr said: Its chain is authentic but it’s mawqoof Fath al-Bari 13/16)
Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahu Allah) said: "It will be lifted near the End of Time, removed from the Pages so there’ll be neither a word left in the hearts nor a letter left in the Books." (Majmoo Fatawa 3/198-199)

Learn good mannerisms
Imaam Maalik ibn Anas (رحمه الله تعالى) said to a youth from the Quraysh:
"Oh nephew, learn good mannerisms before you learn the knowledge."
